Logistics Management Group of Louisiana and LMG Transportation, LLC were formed in 2006, one year after Hurricane Katrina devastated southern Louisiana. During a crucial time of seeking resources and rebuilding the economy, many manufacturers found themselves in need of a carrier. Founder/President Mike Marchese, previously Operations Manager for a large Louisiana based Freight/Courier Company wiped out by the hurricane, witnessed the need firsthand. Mike immediately opened LMG and was able to save employee jobs while supplying southern Louisiana with critical products. LMG delivered Carbon Black, pharmaceuticals, salt, and much more. Today, LMG has expanded to supply many more clients. “Our goal is to support Louisiana based companies first and foremost,” says Marchese, “followed by companies that support our state.”
